Suzi and Jake arrived home safely last night

After a long two day Journey from Michigan, Suzi and Jake have arrived home safely. I am so glad to have them home. I just could not stop hugging Jake, lol. The house was so quiet with just Will and I there but, he and I got to spend some quality time together which was good for us I think. Will has already started school this week and Jake starts next week so it will be even more interesting going forward as we all get up and go our separate ways each day. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.

On Friday, 8/22/2008, my sister and her fiance John tied the knot in Kansas City, KS. I managed to get a last minute fare up to KC for the ceremony and was to be the extra special surprise guest, little did I know how difficult it would be to actually get there on time...

Yesterday's Xbox Live Title was Galaga Legions. This game, well, the classic arcade version, was near and dear to my heart. I actually remember spraining my wrist from playing this game in the arcade I played it so much, lol. So, I've been really looking forward to this release and yesterday I finally got to try it out...

Suzi and Jake are off to Michigan

Yesterday morning Suzi and Jake loaded up the car and headed off to Michigan to see their other set of Grandparents. She drove last night to Dublin, Ohio and stayed there (the hometown of Wendy's Fast Food Chain) and it finishing the drive today. They will be gone for over a week and I will miss them dearly. The house is so quiet. Will went to his girlfriend's house last night and Kaylee is off to college so I was all by myself. I can't entirely complain, I really didn't have anything to worry about other than myself and I got a chance to play some games but it was extremely quiet in the house and it was weird. I also have decided that I don't like sleeping in this big bed all by myself, there's just too much room on it. Bottom line, I know Jake and Suzi are going to have a great time while away but I miss them and already can't wait for them to get home.

Well yesterday was perhaps one of the hardest days of my life so far. It trumps births, job losses, divorce and a whole bunch of other rough times. It's interesting though because I really thought I took the entire process well up until yesterday. Walking out of that dorm room after saying goodbye to her, well, wow...
